What Five beauty products could you not live without?

  1. My Shu eyelash curler - ♥ Shu!
  2. My Shu eyebrow pencil - ♥ Shu!
  3. My Kanebo Testimo eyeshadow - so pretty and sparkly!
  4. My Kanebo Faircrea UV Pact 2 way foundation powder - turns flawed skin into a flawless finish!
  5. My sunblock - I used to use Loreal’s SPF50 but am now trying out Biotherm’s Sun Fitness SPF 50

What’s the worst beauty mistake you’ve made?

Spending a bomb on SK-2. The products made me break out then dried it to a husk!

What’s your skincare regime consist of?

I’ve changed a huge range of products over time. Used to use Estee Lauder but found it too rich for Asian skin. SK-2 didn’t work either. I was recommended Biotherm by a friend for its mild properties and am still trying it out but I tend to prefer Asian brands now.

Daytime

Nightime

Favourite Beauty treat?

My facial! I come out looking and feeling like a million bucks!

What’s your favourite beauty store?

Erm, no favourites

Favourite Budget brand?

Roskens Skin Repair - fantastic for hands that have to do housework, cracked heels and dry skin

Favourite Premium brands?

Kanebo for skin care, Shu Uemera for make up tools, Redken for hair.

And what about Skin Care: Favourite Premium and Budget brands?

Premium - Kanebo and Shu. The Japanese definitely got the right formula!

Budget - Vaseline and Roskens

And Hair Care?

Redken Body Full Shampoo and Conditioner and regular trims which reminds me, I’m due!

What’s your ’every girl must own one’ item?

Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen especially in the tropics and even in winter

And finally, best beauty tip?

Like Sooyin says, sunscreen! Sleep is important too and for me, if you can afford it, regular facials. It really gives the skin a good boost.

For a change, let’s peek into the guys’ dressing room….metrosexual or not! ;)

So, over to you, LB and Wuching! *wink*

I should learn a thing or two from you about beauty. I buy all these products in gung-ho-ness of wanting to use them, but after a couple of applications I get so lazy, especially with the mascara and eyeshadow. plus I rub my eyes too often, lol! smudges everywhere!

Pinkelle says: I used to be really lazy about using make-up too until I cleared out my room and felt ill at the number of things sitting there unused! So I resolved to use them everyday to work now. I used to rub my eyes too but now with mascara, refrain at the risk of looking like a panda! LOL!

    Pinkelle says: Vainpot mah :P

I’m just like May too! Buy lots of stuff and diligently use them for maybe a week before I slacken off.

    LOL at your taggees!

LOL…they’re good sports! :) Must use otherwise they’ll end up wasted! That was what I told myself which was why I started being more diligent about making up!

I absolutely love EL’s Advanced Night Repaid range too - I think I need to buy it soon too! :D

But I also rub my eyes and get mascar smudged oh too often. hehe…oh yeah, and time for me to get that facial..haven’t been to one in ages!!

Pinkelle says: It’s really good, isn’t it? But expensive :( Go pamper yourself this weekend!

Does the Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair Eye Cream treat fine lines or dark circles only?

Pinkelle says: I think it treats fine lines. Not so sure about the dark circles cos I find mine goes away only with sleep! But I like the way the cream goes on your skin. It absorbs pretty well when I lightly massage it in.

These days, most Japanese men use make up on a daily basis too. You will not be considered an ‘upper class’ male living in Tokyo unless you do. You get bonus points at the workplace if you look presentable and people like looking at you. So hand me those eyelash curlers, mascara and foundation now!

PE says: Maybe it’s time you brought this issue up with your boss, including smart dressing! :P

Thanks for doing the tag! =) What a pity SK2 didn’t work after you spent so much $$$ buying it!

PE says: You’re welcome, Soo Yin! Enjoyed it! But yeah SK2 made my skin really bad…maybe cos it was fake?! :P
