Dance with Me
A couple of weeks ago, I was waiting for a movie so decided to take a stroll in the nearby arcade. Lo and behold! I came across this young teenage boy having the time of his life at the dance machine!
I’m not sure if you’re familiar with these sort of machines but they have a sexy, scantily-clad anime girl on the screen dancing and you’re supposed to follow her moves on which you get graded for.
So this boy bopped and danced, mirroring every step and move the anime girl on the screen made, oblivious to the crowd that was starting to grow around him. He was really, really good and didn’t even fumble once!Â
He had definitely danced this dance several times and he knew what moves were coming next but his face was still set in concentration to follow the tricky moves. I found it a bit hilarious after a while as I’ve usually seen young girls playing with this, not adolescent boys! Maybe the anime girl was a great incentive?
He finished up each dance with a dramatic flourish of his hands, getting into a perfect pose while his eyes never left the screen.
A bit dramatic no? Oh well, but who’s to fault a young boy for having fun, even if it’s dancing with an anime girl?! Plus we all know what good exercise dancing is!

Hey, I’ve seen this before, but I prefer the no-holds barred dancing anytime! I *have* played the drum thingy before though…

many years ago, this arcade place on George St in Sydney had this pair of Japanese girls dancing away on one of those machines. and OMG, they drew such a crowd, ‘cos they were really good! even I was fixated for a few long minutes! practice makes perfect, I would think… *wink*
