Weekends…

by Pinkelle on June 18, 2007

Are made of this:

Clockwise from the top:

  • Home-made Tong Sui with snow fungus, date, barley and longan. Didn’t put enough sugar so not tong enough!
  • Home-fried keropok – one of my favourites!
  • Warm, home-cooked chicken and sausage casserole…yums!
  • Lots and lots of sleep

To learn more about the home-cooked dishes and others, surf over to the Pink Parisian! All recipes included…except little sleeping baby lambs! ;-)

Indeed! That sums up the weekend! Now you gotta do the Weekday Quartet!

PE says: Weekday Quartet will be filled with tai-chi and rants! Bad for the environment!

Hmm… that baby lamb looks awake and not sleeping… LOL! But snuggling under a nice blankie and sleeping in over the weekend is the bestest thing to do!

PE says: Hehe…I couldn’t make the baby lamb’s eyes close! And sleep is something I did get a lot of last weekend! Zzzz….

That baby lamb takes up too much space! :P Should have taken the chocolate rabbit :D

PE says: It’s so small! Push it to the foot of the bed and it’s lost amidst the duvet! Tried taking the chocolate rabbit but it was so black it didn’t show up! LOL!

Mana chocolate? :-P

PE says: My chocolate rabbit…not featured! One of these days I’ll feature her!

love your collage, especially that of the keropok! aiyo, I miss crunching on keropok and I’m such a fan of it, especially prawn crackers. cute sheep, too!

PE says: Thanks May :) Keropok’s one of my biggest faves too! Yum…*sends a pack of keropok to May via KaiPei Express*

The tong sui looks really good… definitely comfort food….SIGH – I miss weekends already!

PE says: It’s really yummy…if you remember to put enough tong in the sui! Give it a try! And I already can’t wait for next weekend!

I love homemade keropok although my kitchen gets really oily after that but that is soooo affordable and cheap compared to buying from outside!

PE says: Yay! Another keropok fan :) It’s usually better to fry at home too because you use good proper oil! Sometimes those outside are fried with recycled oil which are bad…have you ever tried microwaving them for a healthier alternative?

Tong sui that looks just like mine :) I ate crisps, does that count as keropok? I made grilled chicken but alas, I am having sleep-deficit!!

PE says: Hope you caught up on your sleep deficit! Weekends are made for sleeping in :)
