Biby Barks
*Arf arf* Hello there! I’m Biby, PE’s adopted dog! I actually belong to her friend, J’s neighbour but PE decided to adopt me when she saw how skinny I was. So a few months ago, I was a skinny thing with ribs and backbone protruding through my skin but now I’m a bit fatter and elevated to celebrity status here in PE’s pink blog! Heh…not bad for a little mongrel!
GiddyTigers tagged PE on 7 things about me. Thanks, GT! I feel honoured!
PE, being the delegator she is, passed this tag on to me in return for the scraps she’s been feeding me. Ah…there’s no free lunch today, is there?!
-
She calls me Biby but until today, we’re not very sure if that’s my name at all!
When her friend, J, moved in next door, he asked my owner what I was called and my owner hesitated before blurting out “Biby”! So we’re not very sure if that was a name he conjured up on the spot! But now I’ll answer to Biby! -
I peep around the wall throughout the day, hoping J’ll hand me my catered meal soon. In return for food, I peep to help keep an eye on his house when he’s away at work. Biby’ll work for food!
-
This is how I look every time I see J return home. I used to bark impatiently to remind him I haven’t had dinner yet but after I realised that my barking didn’t get me anything, I now resort to my Puss in Boots look! I put a leg on the fence and look up ever so pleadingly. It never fails to work!
-
I get fed usual dry dog food on normal days. Initially, I could eat up to 5 big scoops of dog food in one sitting as I was starving! But now, I’m on a maintenance diet of 1 big scoop a day with occasional bones and rice that PE salvages from her dinner table. I like cooked food a lot better but it isn’t the healthiest diet for me! Here I am enjoying a delicious treat of a huge bag of bones and bits of meat from the kind lor bak teng kia man! Thank you!
-
I get my food in a small plastic bag put over the fence and clever me will gently take it from the hands of my feeder before I tear into it anxiously. Not having been fed constantly always makes me wonder when my next meal will be so I’m always very fearful it’ll be taken away. Sometimes I’m so anxious to wolf it down, it spills all over the place! Untidy Biby! But every last bit gets eaten!
-
Do you see that little white bowl behind me? That’s my plaything sometimes when I’m bored. I jump around on it and nose it around for larks. Otherwise being a chained guard dog can be pretty boring business at times. It keeps me company too when the nights are dark and stormy and I’m being pelted by rain. I usually get extra food as a treat after rainy nights so I guess it isn’t that bad.
-
I’m a curious little fella and now that I’m fed more often, cheerier too. With a good bath and good care, I’m sure I’ll be a good companion and not just an abandoned guard dog to be left outside the house.
So, there you go, 7 things about me, Biby! Hmm…I don’t have many friends and Ah Boy’s done it too so I think I’ll pass this tag on to the only other celebrity dogs I know in blogsphere:
Pea & Pumpkin! And for Aurelia, your first tag on your babies too!
Do take good care of your pets. They deserve to be loved too!

Hi Biby! Kelly barks hello to you there.
Awww… your owner is so *insert growl here*… and he deserves to be piaked well and truly for treating you so. Bad bad man!
*brings a big plateful of meat and bones for Biby*
PE says: Biby barks his many thanks for the big plate of meat and bones and his hello to Kelly!
*Biby scarfs all the food down in a jiffy*
:O Why chained? Aiyo… *hugs Biby*
PE says: Yeah, poor Biby’s always chained up
Never seen him loose before. Sometimes his chain gets twisted up and chokes him and my friend’ll have to reach over to release him
*hugs Biby*
Awwwww so cute
PE says:
Thanks for dropping by, Tine!
poor biby is all tied up
PE says: Poor Biby
I do wish his owner would take better care of him, perhaps bathe him too. I can only feed him, can’t do much else from the other side of the fence.
Poor Biby! What a dog’s life! Chained up, not fed properly.. just so disgraceful! The paw thru the fence is such a moving pic..
PE says: Mahatma Gandhi said that the greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. I guess we still have a long way to go!
oops, I forgot I still had Elle Bee on!!
PE says: I love Elle Bee!
I sobbed after seeing Biby! :(( Sending hugs for Biby and kisses to PE & J for being so kind!
PE says: Aww…*hugs* We just do the best we can!
oh Biby… you sweet little mutt! wish you were free of those chains to run around so you won’t be so bored. come play catch with me!
PE says: I don’t think poor Biby’s ever been chain-free
But he’ll love to play catch with May!
Biby is a nice name.. sounds like Baby
PE says: Welcome AhBoy!
Thanks for dropping by and Biby sends his barks!
