Around the World in 80 Hours

I’d love to blog about my Singapore trip but that unfortunately will have to wait.

Yesterday evening, I came to work and was informed at 4pm that I had to leave for London tonight. The initial itinerary made my head reel! It was:

I’ve never seen a turnaround in UK before! Imagine flying 13 grueling hours in economy class just to do a turnaround! I don’t think even pilots did that! Luckily the Beijing trip got postponed to next week so now we’re doing a night stopover before heading back.

I just turned down something else for this. I hope it’s the right decision. Otherwise I’m screwed :(

In the meantime, I guess entries here will be kinda sporadic but I’ll try to keep them coming! Thanks for coming by!

I’m tired even before the crazy traveling has started!

[...] Sis has strolled off on the red-eye to London with a bunch of my clothes and jackets, prepared for some cool weather. Its hardly bikini weather in London right this moment, and with some restructuring going on at home, she had no access to most of her clothes and warm stuff so she went and raided my wardrobe. [...]

Wow! Talk about a jetsetting lifestyle…=)

Seriously though, it’s kinda short notice, isn’t it?

Hope you have a safe trip to and fro…take care!

PE says: Thanks Soo Yin :) Short Notice, unfortunately, does not exist in the company’s vocabulary! :( There must be something against that in the Labour Law :P

London sounds so glamorous! Have fun and bring back loads of memories! We’ll miss ya!

PE says: Aww…thanks GT! I didn’t have that much fun but had some memories (bad, unfortunately!) Coming up in the next post…missed you guys too :)

By the time I read this post, you would have left London. Otherwise I could meet up with you. Why such a rush. The company should understand that such flights and rush itinerary will only exhaust the employee!

Whoever you turned down for this official trip will understand.

PE says: Thanks Judy! There’ll be other times I’m sure :) I only wish the company was as understanding as you are!

With the stopover, hopefully you’ll have time to do something other than work.

PE says: Hello Shooi! Thanks for coming by! Unfortunately it was all work and nothing much else :(
