If you’re a child of the Eighties, doesn’t this song bring back the memories?! It reminds me of Saturday morning cartoons, of cute yellow Bumble Bee, of watching robots going “chik-chik-chik” as they transformed and the oh so goody-two-shoos Optimus Prime!
With all the recent Transformers hype, I finally managed to score myself tickets to see it and hmm…here’s a Pinkelle review on it:

The Autobots were so inferior compared to the Decepticons! They only traveled by road while the super-cool Decepticons could fly AND change from airplane to robots midway while landing AND change back to take off after they had finished fighting! Did I say I preferred the Decepticons?!

The Transformers changed so quickly in the cartoon with just about 5 “chiks” and here in the movie, they took ages with many many tiny parts changing. Somehow, it wasn’t as nice as the movie was!

Bumble Bee wasn’t that cute little Volkswagen Beetle! He went from this:

They got Megatron screwed up! I remember Megatron used to transform himself into a gun in the cartoon but here he was a fighter plane, a cool one nonetheless but gun to fighter plane?! This:

The transformers, both Autobots and Decepticons, were dark, metallic and spiky so in the fighting scenes it was sometimes quite hard to make out which was which.

And they didn’t sing the famous Transformers theme song!
All in all, it wasn’t that bad a movie though. I had a hilarious time watching the way they portrayed the US government and their paranoia that the attacks came from China and North Korea! Less than a decade ago, Russia would have been their first suspect! But opps…no spoilers!
I half expected my car to go “chik chik chik” and turn into a cool robot but nah, it stayed the little metallic blue car it was and took me home without any funky thrills! So if you’re and Eighties child who grew up on a steady diet of Transformers, go watch it and tell me what you think!

ParisB is a Slytherin! *Gasp* I never knew we had a Slytherin Dark Arts follower within our midst! So, I scurried off to do the test, just in case I had the Dark Arts element inside me too, and what would you know?!

Migration isn’t only for People
Hello! I’m finally back, albeit a post and a few comments poorer! For those of you who came by and was wondering why Pinkelle.com was down, it wasn’t because she had deleted something by accident in her pink fluffy state! Please say some fan-si did drop by while I was down!
So what happened? Well, my server decided that it was fed up with its present situation. It wasn’t feeling safe in a place where heinous crimes were hitting the roof, it was sad to see mothers killing their own children, it was starting to feel marginalised, fed up with floods, didn’t have much freedom to say or practise what it wanted and overall, just tired of the bigwigs who still thought they were doing a great job. So it decided to pack its bags and “migrate” over the seas to somewhere where it thought the grass might be greener, the skies bluer and the air sweeter.
Did my server find a happier place? What do you think?!
It’s great to be back, regardless of where my server has “migrated” to!
What Will You Pay?
I recently noticed Jusco in Midvalley added a new section called “Japanese Fruits & Vegetables”. Wondering what the hype was all about, I went over to take a look and so, name me your price…what will you pay for fruits and vegetables that travel in first-class, air-conditioned jumbo jets?!
Whatever you name, I doubt it’ll be close to what Japanese here who want a taste of their home-grown products will have to shell out!
I really, really wonder what an RM149.90 melon would taste like! And no, not even for the sake of my blog will I shell out that amount of money to try it!
