Weighing Up and Weighting Up!

The pink one has been MIA again! Ah…blame it on the festive season and the hopping on to that big shiny red and yellow bus! Yep, I’m still in my first week in the new company, thanks to the kind new boss who very generously gave me last Friday and Monday off because I had hopped onboard directly from my old job without a break. So how has it been?
Honestly, there have been some pros and cons.
Pros:
- Brighter career prospects
- Big multinational company
- Hopefully better benefits in the new year
- Lots of employee enrichment programme (which doesn’t really seem to be my cup of tea!)
- A boss who believes in flexi hours and casual Fridays
- Focus, direction and excellent business principles
Cons:
- Terribly expensive parking (I paid RM28 on my first day!)
- No more season pass
- No more convenience of working in a mall and being able to do banking during lunch
- No more nice office of my own…I’m regulated to SHARING a cube!
- No more internet, chat programs or blogs! *cries*
- 15 days leave instead of 21 days! *boo hoo*
I could think of lots more cons but…must.think.positive! I’ve gone from being someone in a small organization to now a nobody in a huge one. Was it the right move at this point of my life? I only hope it is! Hopefully I can still fit in my wedding planning and leave needs with my limited blogging time, internet time and leave! Thanks to GT for giving me a headstart with those lists!
*hugs*
My blogging might be a little more sporadic from now on while I find my feet and try to stop myself from freaking out whenever I think of the huge task ahead of me for next year!
If someone had told me that weddings came with lots of stress, spots and astronomical costs, I would have seriously considered eloping and having a nice little private ceremony on a beautiful Bali beach! Ah, one can but dream!
Till next time, have a very Merry Christmas and all the very best for a wonderful 2008 ahead! Have you made your New Year resolutions? No prizes for guessing what mine are after all that festive feasting! *groan*
- Annual Leave
- Withdrawal Symptoms
- J Card Mania
- Smile, it’s Friday!

Merry Happy… er… too late for Christmas, too late for Boxing… Happy New Year!!!!
RM28 per day for parking?! that’s almost as expensive as Sydney, if you count dollar for dollar (and not convert). it’s about $30 here minimum. geez, to pay so much to just put your car there, hor?
good on ya for starting your new job!
Happy Belated Christmas & Boxing Day, have a wonderful 2008!
Wheeee for shiny red & yellow buses! Now I’m wondering if you’re working for McDonalds? Lawl. Great that you have a nice boss, not so great about that parking! OMG, which part of town do you work now that charges so much for a single day’s parking?
Anyway, Merry Christmas (belated) and Happy New Year (advance)!
Good Lord, that’s expensive parking. Is that reimbursed kah? If not, very siong man.
Happy new year, my dear, and yeah, wedding planning’s a real pain in the behind, but the end will be SO worth it :p (so I keep telling myself, hee hee!)
Aurelia is a newbie in a black and green bus almost the same time as PE *jinx or luck hehehe* and certainly planning on eloping considering blogtime is also close to zero, much less for planning a wedding
but Aurelia knows PE can somehow manage it all and come out a stronger and better person!
I’m sure you’ll find the mood and the time for everything. And any time you have a question, just holler, yeah?
PE says: Thankoo, GT
