Withdrawal Symptoms

They say you never appreciate what you have till you lose it. Nothing sums this up better than my new company now.

I’m into my 4th day at work and am already getting Internet and Chat withdrawal syndromes! I never realised how good I had it in my previous company with super fast Internet speed from a special designated lease line and total freedom to surf everything and anything I wanted! I had every Chat program available from Skype to MSN Messenger and keeping in touch with friends and family was second nature. Planning for holidays was a breeze because I had the freedom to research everything and anything. I picked up so much information from all over the World Wide Web and actually progressed from a total techie idiot to a marginally better one, thanks to great sites like http://www.webhostingchoice.com which taught me webhosting in simply English!

Now, I can’t even change the settings in my Folder view because “I do not have privileges to change this. Please contact the system administrator” *wails*

I don’t even want to begin to think how useful the Internet would have been in helping me plan for that big day next year. Now, I actually have to work a full 10 hours a day without any blog break :P

So…

Goodbye MSN

Goodbye Yahoo Messenger

Goodbye cute Skype icons

Goodbye my favourite blogs which I started everyday with

Goodbye blogging during work breaks

*sob* It was great while it lasted! :-(

awwww, I totally understand… *pat* *pat*

I could live without blogging during work hours, but I’m now so use to chat (not to friends, but to colleagues instead of using the phone!), I think I’d feel very, very strange without it. how isolated…

oh well, like LB says, you’ll be more productive! (and think of blog posts in your mind in the meantime, yea? *wink*)

I can’t chat in all my previous offices, so I don’t know what I’m missing! Lawl. But I’m living without my blogbreaks now, so my RSS feeds are piling up everyday! Luckily I still have Internet access to webmail, that’s how I do my blogging. And oh yeah, I am definitely much more productive during the 10 hr workday. Bummer. Ahahaha!

**HUGS** from Aurelia who really misses PE online *wailing* Aurelia is also on the same streak of “very productive 10 hours at work” with only occasional peek into blogs.
